The story

What happened, what Junior's did and what changed.

I arrived in Vancouver in 2008 without a storefront, staff or established local clientele. I set one barber chair inside Dipt Kicks, a downtown sneaker shop.

At a time when few nearby shops specialized in fades, consistency became my advantage. People came back, brought friends and made the chair feel less temporary with every appointment.

Four years later, I opened on Davie Street. The Academy does not borrow an ownership slogan from somewhere else; it teaches from the slow progression I actually had to make.
