Rexdale
I started because I had to.
I grew up in Rexdale. Sixteen. My family needed me to work. Friends, borrowed time, the flat top had to be right.
People came back. That's the whole beginning.

Junior Adusei · Founder, barber, mentor
I started cutting hair at sixteen because my family needed me to work. One chair became a name. I train the barbers beside me now.

People came back. That's the whole beginning.
Queens
Music, talk, a standard — all in the same air.
I carried that west. The jokes stayed. So did being on time, and knowing who sat down.

Vancouver
I set it inside Dipt Kicks, a downtown sneaker shop.
People came back. They brought friends. The chair started to feel like it was staying.

Call time. Continuity. Changing light. A whole department before I touch anyone.
I write the detail down. I move. I keep what I hear to myself.

The comeback
I had more than one location. Then I had to choose what still worked.
A location closed. I kept the people I could keep. I kept the standard.
The Academy
I watched kids stand at the back of the room and leave no closer to a decision.
I put the tools in their hands. I watch. I say what I see. They do it again.

The Academy
The House
Remember who sat down. Protect the details. Leave the door open.
That's the room I wanted.

My story does not end with me. It continues through the people in the chair, the barbers beside it and the students preparing to take the next one.
